Spring & Fall Music Camps

We furnish the drums, the amps, the P.A., the microphones, the keyboards and even the instruments if needed. Students just need to show up and be ready to rock! Band signup is dynamic and continues until each group has six members. Each band meets for practice 2 hours per week and then gets to play at the end of session show! Performance bands will play as often as possible, in a variety of venues. Bands are encouraged to write. Rehearsals are held at the newly remodeled Music Lab rehearsal facility located just off South Lamar at 1306 West Oltorf.

Summer Music Camp

Natural Ear Music Summer Camp is two weeks long. It runs Monday through Friday for 4 hours a day with a rockin’ gig at the end!!

We group kids and teens into functional bands based on age, skill level, and musical interest. Professional musicians will coach each band through the process, which culminates in a live show at a local music venue. The 2012 summer camp schedule is:

1st camp: June 4-June 15th
2nd camp: June 18-June 29th
3rd camp: July 9-July 20

The final gig will be on the last Friday of each session at a local music venue.

Lessons

We offer a wide variety of music lessons for all ages and skill levels. Individual instruction is available for guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, and, now introducing, (drum roll, please!…) electric violin. If it rocks we teach it! Many of our students are multi-instrumentalists. Whatever the musical interest is, we are ready to cultivate it!
